Feteer Meshaltet

Feteer Meshaltet is Egypt's version of a layered pastry, and it takes time. The dough is stretched thin, brushed with butter, folded, stretched again. Many layers later, it goes in the oven and comes out crisp on top, soft inside. There's nothing quite like it. Delicious on its own or served with cheese, honey, or cream.
